Welcome To Week One and the first issue of your Survival of the Fitness newsletter!
In this first issue, let’s address a problem that has plagued many of us — no time to exercise. So let’s take a look at how you can find the time to exercise….
Let’s face it. All of us are busy with our everyday lives and not everyone has a lot of time to spend exercising. The good news is, you don’t really need to have a full hour, just thirty minutes will do. However, in the hustle and bustle of our everyday routine, even 30 minutes is too much to ask. So how can you make some time to work out? Here are some suggestions you can try out.
Set a specific time during the day just for exercising. If you arrange your schedule and block a time for exercising, you will be able to plan other things around your workout, instead of working out whenever time permits.
Try working out in the morning before the craziness of the day sets in. You may want to change your bedtime and go to sleep a little earlier, but this will help you tremendously as you will wake up feeling refreshed and ready for working out.
Make the most of your time. As mentioned above, you’d probably need only thirty minutes a day, so make sure that the whole 30 minutes is used wisely. Look for a variety of exercises and do different things that can get your heart pumping and muscles working.
Use your lunch time to workout. You don’t have to sacrifice your lunch hour every day, just a few times a month. Store your gym stuff in your office so that you’re ready to go at any time.
Find an exercise buddy. If you have a friend to exercise with, you will be more likely to keep to the workout session. It doesn’t have to be in the gym either. You can play tennis or basketball or go for a run together.
So you see, making the time to exercise is really not that hard. Now that you know of some tips, you shouldn’t have any more excuses not to work out!
